Pat’s musical influences began with the British invasion led by The Beatles, and such influences led Pat to begin playing guitar at the age of 10.  But it wasn’t just these acts that inspired Pat.  Other acts, including harmony-driven bands like the Beach Boys, Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac also intrigued Pat as did singer-songwriters such as Cat Stevens, Jim Croce and James Taylor.  As a result, Pat continued to refine his talent as a guitarist as well as a singer.

It was in 1988 that Pat decided to offer his talents to the Richmond music scene, and it wasn’t long (1990) before he joined the popular, Richmond-based band, Sketch, with whom he spent nearly ten years.  During the final year of Sketch’s long run, Pat, along with Jim White and Jane Cooper, formed The Wrest in an attempt to form a group that showcased harmony, and they were an immediate hit.

Pat admits he loves playing with the band, but he also enjoys playing solo shows that provide a more intimate environment.  (W)rest assured, whether solo or with the band, Pat’s passion for music and love of the stage is easily recognizable at one of his shows.  He is nothing short of spectacular!
